Representing mortgage bankers and vendors in Kentucky at the recent Mortgage Bankers Association National Advocacy Conference were (pictured left to right), Bryan Weigandt (Century Lending Company), MBAKY Past President David Kittle, CMB (Compliance Ease), MBAKY Vice President Pam Thompson (Commonwealth Bank & Trust), and Marla Guillaume (Century Mortgage Company). With an overall focus on CFPB enforcements, Transitional Licensing, Government Lending and GSE reform during their visits on Capitol Hill, they met with Senator McConnell’s staff and shared specific industry concerns with GSE reform and utilizing G-fees further for non-housing issues. They also met with Congressman Andy Barr’s staff and expressed industry concerns with the CFPB’s leadership structure and greater oversight of the CFPB by Congress.
